Cookie policy

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on a user's browser or device when visited. Cookies allow the website to function correctly, remember user preferences, ensure security and, where applicable, collect statistical information about its use.

This Cookies Policy complements the Privacy Policy of Alter5 Financial Technologies, S.L. ("Alter5") and explains which cookies are used on www.alter5.com, for what purposes, and how users can accept, reject or configure them.

Alter5's website uses the Silktide Consent Management Platform (CMP) to manage user consent for non-essential cookies. On the first visit, a banner allows the user to accept or reject cookies, or to set preferences for each category. Rejecting is as simple as accepting, and all non-essential categories are disabled by default.

The user may change these preferences at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer.

Alter5 uses the following cookies, classified by purpose. All analytics cookies are blocked until the user gives express consent through the banner.

3.1. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the correct operation of the website and for the provision of services expressly requested by the user, such as protecting the forms against bots. They are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002 (LSSI-CE).

  • _GRECAPTCHA — Protects the forms against bots (Google reCAPTCHA). Duration: 6 months. Provider: Google LLC — Third party, technical.
  • silktideCookieChoice_necessary, silktideCookieChoice_analytics, silktideCookieChoice_advertising and silktideCookieBanner_InitialChoice (localStorage) — Store the user's cookie preferences. Not strictly cookies: they are kept in the browser's localStorage by the Silktide CMP. Duration: persistent. Provider: Silktide — Third party, technical.

3.2. Analytics cookies (consent required)

These cookies measure and analyse how users use the website, in order to improve the services offered. Alter5 uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, and Microsoft Clarity, a browsing behaviour analytics service provided by Microsoft Corporation. These cookies are activated only if the user gives express consent through the Silktide-managed banner.

  • _ga — Distinguishes unique users (Client ID) in Google Analytics 4. Duration: 2 years (some browsers cap it at 400 days). Provider: Google LLC — Third party, analytics.
  • _ga_[ID] — Persists session state in Google Analytics 4. Duration: 2 years (some browsers cap it at 400 days). Provider: Google LLC — Third party, analytics.
  • _clck — Retains the Clarity user ID and preferences across visits. Duration: 1 year. Provider: Microsoft Corporation — Third party, analytics.
  • _clsk — Links the pages viewed by a user into a single Clarity session. Duration: 1 day. Provider: Microsoft Corporation — Third party, analytics.
  • CLID — Identifies the first time the user visits a site that uses Clarity. Duration: 1 year. Provider: Microsoft Corporation — Third party, analytics.
  • MUID — Identifies unique web browsers visiting Microsoft sites. Duration: 13 months. Provider: Microsoft Corporation — Third party, analytics.
  • MR — Indicates whether the MUID identifier should be refreshed. Duration: 7 days. Provider: Microsoft Corporation — Third party, analytics.
  • SRM_B — Browser identifier for Microsoft services (Bing). Duration: 13 months. Provider: Microsoft Corporation — Third party, analytics.
  • SM — Synchronises the MUID identifier across Microsoft domains. Duration: session. Provider: Microsoft Corporation — Third party, analytics.
  • ANONCHK — Indicates whether the MUID identifier is passed to the ANID advertising cookie; Clarity does not use it, so it is always 0. Duration: 10 minutes. Provider: Microsoft Corporation — Third party, analytics.
  • a5_attr — Remembers where the visit came from (campaign or landing link) so that requests sent through the forms can be attributed to their source. Set only if the user accepts analytics cookies. Duration: 90 days. Provider: Alter5 — First party, analytics.

Google cookies (Google Analytics 4 and reCAPTCHA) involve the transfer of personal data to Google LLC in the United States. This transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC adheres, as well as by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914).

Microsoft Clarity involves the transfer of data to Microsoft Corporation in the United States, covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Microsoft Corporation is certified.

The Silktide CMP is provided by Silktide Ltd., based in the United Kingdom, a country for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 28 June 2021.

Strictly necessary cookies are used based on Alter5's legitimate interest in ensuring the correct operation and security of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are exempt from the prior consent requirement under Article 22.2 LSSI-CE.

Analytical cookies are used with the user's prior, free, informed, specific and unambiguous consent, given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22.2 LSSI-CE). The user may withdraw consent at any time through the cookie preference panel, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

The user may accept, reject or change their preferences for non-essential cookies in the website's cookie settings panel, available through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
