Alter5 and the firm agree an origination framework to create an investment product, in equity or in debt. The firm distributes it to its own clients.
Origination framework
The product is built on a framework agreed between Alter5 and the firm. Each step has a single owner.

Agreed framework
Alter5 and the firm set the sector, the instrument (equity or debt), the ticket range, the geography and the position in the structure. The framework determines which transactions feed the product.

Origination and analysis
Alter5 originates the transactions that fall within the framework and analyses them before they are presented: figures verified, documentation prepared.

Filtering and presentation
Alter5 presents to the firm only the transactions that meet the framework, each with its summary and documentation.

Approval and vehicle
The firm approves each transaction on its own analysis and sets up the investment vehicle under its own structure and regulation.

Deployment and marketing
The firm deploys the capital in the approved transactions and markets the product to its own clients.

- Originates, analyses and filters transactions in line with the agreed framework. Provides the technology layer used to structure the product and the file for each transaction.
- The firm
- Approves each transaction, sets up the vehicle, deploys the capital and markets the product. The product is distributed to the firm's clients, not to Alter5's.
- European Investment Fund guarantee
- Where the underlying transactions are eligible, Alter5 may incorporate the European Investment Fund guarantee into the product. The guarantee partially covers the underlying obligation; its scope and beneficiary are set out in the documentation of each transaction. Its application is subject to the InvestEU eligibility criteria and does not imply a better rating or a lower cost of financing.
Alter5 is neither a debt fund nor an adviser: it directs each transaction to the firm whose framework matches it.
