Madrid, 28 October 2026. Alter5, the technology platform that connects investors with energy and infrastructure projects, has been selected for the Fall 2026 cohort of Desafía San Francisco, the international acceleration programme run by ICEX Spain Trade and Investment and Red.es and managed in Silicon Valley by the accelerator SOSA.
The company's co-founders, Salvador Carrillo and Miguel Solana, will travel to San Francisco. There they will gain access to the Bay Area business network, with mentoring from market experts and meetings with corporates, venture capital funds, industry specialists and potential partners.
Alter5 is one of ten revenue-generating Spanish companies ready to grow in the United States. They work in fields such as AI agents, health, electric mobility, climate tech, immersive experiences and fintech.
Two fronts: artificial intelligence and institutional capital
Alter5 uses technology to transform sustainable finance. Its digital platform connects institutional investors with energy and infrastructure projects and opens access to capital for SMEs, mid-caps and developers, cutting the time and friction of traditional financing processes.
In San Francisco, Alter5 will explore partnerships with artificial intelligence companies to apply their capabilities to infrastructure finance: project analysis, debt structuring and matching developers with investors.
It will also seek meetings with US institutional funds interested in energy and infrastructure debt, for whom the platform offers direct access to deals in Spain and Europe.
“Artificial intelligence is being built in Silicon Valley. We want to work with the companies developing it to bring it to infrastructure finance, a sector that still relies on highly manual processes”
